In 2023, the number of rabies vaccines available is only 15,000 doses from state budget funds, so it is proposed that the Village Fund can be used to treat rabies in Flores-Lembata.

MAUMERE, COMPASS The Village Fund was again proposed as the best solution to overcome the scarcity of rabies vaccines for thousands of dogs in Flores-Lembata, East Nusa Tenggara. Each village allocates Rp. 15 million for vaccine procurement and is considered sufficient. The availability of rabies vaccine from the center in 2023 is only 15,000 doses. That’s simply not enough to handle a population of around 200,000 dogs in the nine counties.
