Lung opacities are the result of a decrease in the ratio of gases to soft tissues (blood, lung parenchyma, and stoma) in the lungs. The condition usually indicates that the lungs are full of things, such as fluid, bacteria, or immune system cells.
This condition also means the patient cannot take in as much oxygen as usual. Dr Kamel said unvaccinated Corona patients would be more likely to need medical attention.
“They definitely need oxygen at least and sometimes they need more than oxygen,” says Dr Kamel.
“They may need a ventilator or be intubated with mechanical ventilation, sedated and basically with life support.”
Meanwhile for the patient COVID-19 Those who have been vaccinated generally do not require treatment like other critically ill patients. To that end, Dr Kamel continues to encourage people to be vaccinated immediately and continue to wear masks.
