After an almost fatal jealousy drama, the murder trial of a 45-year-old man from Oberbilk begins this morning (June 7, 2021 / from 10 a.m.) at the regional court. Shortly before Christmas last year in Wersten on Nosthoffenstrasse, he is said to have seriously injured his wife’s new friend with a sharp object.
Special forces arrested him after the attack. Residents from Wersten heard loud cries for help on the morning of the crime last year and found a seriously injured man. They called the police and the ambulance, the victim was saved with life-threatening injuries. He was able to tell the police the name of the alleged attacker on site. Special forces of the police then stormed an apartment in Oberbilk and arrested the now accused man. The motive is unclear. The defendant claims he doesn’t care about his wife’s new relationship, possibly a custody battle.
