Gold prices resumed their decline in Egypt today, Friday, after jumping 11 pounds yesterday, but it continues to rise for the second week in a row.
Naguib Club, Secretary General of the Gold Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a 21-gram gold gram today reached 778 pounds compared to 772 pounds last Friday, an increase of 6 pounds per gram.
Comparing the prices yesterday, yesterday, 21 grams per gram fell about two pounds, compared to 780 pounds per gram.
The price of a gram of 18 carat gold is about 666.8 pounds, 24 carat is 889 pounds, and the gold pound is 6224 pounds.
Globally, gold stabilized today, Friday, as the dollar’s rise dispelled the impact of declining risk appetite due to concerns about a second wave of coronavirus infections and an extended period of economic recovery, while the yellow metal is on track to achieve its first weekly rise in four weeks.
There was no significant change in gold in spot transactions at $ 1727.72 an ounce by 0531 GMT. The precious metal rose about 2.5% since the beginning of the week. US gold futures fell 0.4% to $ 1732.60 an ounce.
