Gold prices returned to decline in the local market, during trading today, Thursday, compared to levels yesterday, where he lost one gram, 5 pounds.
Nagy Farag, head of the Economic Committee in the Gold Traders Division of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy that the price of a 21-gram gold went down to 715 pounds during trading today compared to 720 pounds yesterday.
The price of a gram of 18 carat gold reached about 613 pounds, the price of a gram of 24 carat reached about 817 pounds, and the price of a pound of gold reached 5720 pounds.
According to Bloomberg data, the price of an ounce today witnessed an increase of about 7.8 dollars, or 0.48%, compared to the end of trading yesterday, to record 1644 dollars at one o’clock in the afternoon Cairo time.
Gold prices in the local market witnessed a big leap yesterday, Wednesday, as the gram rose by about 24 pounds, as a result of the rise in the price of the metal globally.
