After fifteen years of work, the Bobigny mosque opens its doors

Fifteen years after the laying of its first stone, the Bobigny mosque opened its doors on the sly on Monday, avenue du Président-Salvador-Allende, a few strides from the city center. The project for this building of more than 1,600 m2 dates back… to 1996. The Muslims of the city-prefecture will therefore have waited twenty-five years to see it come to fruition, and fifteen years between the laying of the first stone, in 2006, and the opening. The building, which stands on two floors will have cost nearly 3 million euros.
