The famous Hollywood actor, Bruce Willis, 67, appeared Thursday for the first time since his family announced that he had dementia.
And Bruce went out for a walk in Santa Monica, with two of his friends, where they drank coffee together, while the actor appeared to be in good physical health.
The last appearance of Bruce Willis was in Los Angeles last January, according to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, after which he disappeared from view when his family announced that he had been diagnosed with a rare type of dementia, which is known as frontotemporal dementia.
Bruce announced his retirement from acting last year, after suffering from aphasia, which affected his pronunciation.
In a statement issued by the Willis family recently, it was revealed that the actor’s illness had developed into a form of dementia.
In its statement, the family explained the nature of Bruce’s illness, and thanked his fans for campaigns of solidarity with him.
The family explained that frontotemporal dementia has no cure, and it is difficult to diagnose it before its symptoms worsen.
It is reported that frontotemporal dementia affects the work of the part of the brain responsible for controlling behaviour, thinking and problem solving.
According to the British National Health Service, this disease mostly affects people between the ages of 45-65 years.
