According to the President of PIEX Group, Bertrand Talbotier, this strong dynamic is driven by three factors, namely:
Firstly: the growth of the private drug market in West Africa, which has made it possible to develop the drug distribution activity, the share of turnover represented by parapharmacy (8%) remaining relatively stable compared to the ‘last year;
Secondly: PIEX Group’s partner laboratories outperform the market because they believe in the continent and invest sustainably accordingly, which represents an additional competitive factor (+20% in local sales compared to 2020 for these laboratories which represent the heart of the activity of Piex Group);
Third: real flexibility offered to its partners in its core business, namely the distribution of medicines and parapharmaceutical products. PIEX proves to be a reliable and effective partner for their development in Africa.
With regard to the economic outlook, PIEX aims, with the continuation of its development in the first half, to achieve 150 million euros in turnover in 2022.
