The AfD parliamentary group spokesman for medium-sized businesses, Bernd Gögel MdL, accused the companies of the “Climate Economy Foundation” of deliberately converting themselves into a planned economy:
“When domestic companies like Ritter Sport, HeidelbergCement or Schwäbisch Hall are now calling for a ‘transformation commission’ that is supposed to ensure competitive prices for green electricity and hydrogen, they have said goodbye to market economy principles. Because they have thereby admitted that the ‘transformation’ is a purely ideology-driven project of economically ignorant politicians who now want to be supported by them – since the admitted ‘failures in German economic, energy and environmental policy’ have not been remedied by ideology, but be reinforced. The fact that companies then cheaply expect a ‘collaboration of the democratic parties’ because democracy and economic performance are threatened by a ‘new right’ is the topping of the cliché salad. The only threat to economic performance is the green socialist economic restructuring, which leads to deindustrialization.”
