AEV has signed a new goalkeeper. Swede Oskar Östlund last played for Fehérvár AV19 in the Austrian league.
the Augsburg Panther have signed an additional goalkeeper. 29-year-old Oskar Östlund is already in Augsburg arrived, as announced by the association. He gets jersey number 55 and the contract runs until the end of the season.
Östlund last played for the Hungarian club Fehérvár AV19, which has been in the ICEHL since 2007. The ICEHL is actually the Austrian league, but teams from surrounding countries also compete in it. However, Östlund was only a month with Fehérvár, during which time he made three appearances.
In the 2020/21 season he played 33 games in the ICEHL for the Dornbirn Bulldogs. He had a catch rate of over 90 percent in both the main round and the playoffs.

Also the OF already knows Östlund: He played for Krefeld in the 2019/20 season. The head coach of the Penguins at the time was Pierre Beaulieu, who is now assistant coach of the Panthers. Östlund completed eleven games for Krefeld in the DEL. A goals against average of 2.82 was offset by a catch rate of 92.8 percent.
Östlund’s time in Norway was particularly successful. There he was one of the best goalies in the league from 2015 to 2019. He became champion in 2018 with Storhamar and twice qualified for the Champions Hockey League. He has 14 appearances in the CHL, for Storhamar and Swedish team Skellefteå.
