ADO Den Haag reached the eighth finals of the KNVB cup tournament on Wednesday. The club from the Kitchen Champion Division was 2-0 too strong for Eredivisie side Sparta Rotterdam at home, while NEC also continued.
ADO took a 1-0 lead in the Bingoal Stadium after just five minutes thanks to a goal by Daryl van Mieghem. Two minutes before the end, substitute Joel Ideho put the 2-0 final score on the scoreboard.
Last season, ADO also reached far in the cup tournament. Then the quarter-finals were the final destination, after a 3-1 defeat against the eventual winner PSV.
NEC had a problem-free evening visiting the amateurs of GVVV: 1-6. Thanks to two goals from Rober González and hits from Dirk Proper, Elayis Tavsan and Koki Ogawa, the score was already 0-5 at Sportpark Panhuis halfway through. Ogawa also made it 0-6 in the second half, after which Byron Burgering made the score slightly more bearable for the Second Divisionist from Veenendaal.

AFC wins private meeting between amateurs
The match between the amateurs of RKAV Volendam and AFC was won by the Amsterdam team: 0-1. Wessel Been scored the only goal of the match in the Kras Stadium in the 62nd minute. The twenty-year-old attacker also scored the only goal in the previous round when AFC caused a sensation against PEC Zwolle.
On Tuesday, FC Groningen, Fortuna Sittard, Excelsior Maassluis, SC Cambuur, Excelsior and Quick Boys were in the last sixteen.
The last five games of the second round are scheduled for Thursday. PSV then plays against FC Twente and Ajax takes on the amateurs of Hercules.
