New York/Geneva (AP) – 19 years after the engagement, Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh (60) and former Formula 1 team boss Jean Todt (77) got married. “It’s not often that a UN honorary ambassador marries a UN special envoy,” a UN spokesman told reporters in New York, congratulating the couple.
Yeoh, who was born in Malaysia, volunteers on behalf of the United Nations for sustainable development goals, the Frenchman Todt for safety on the roads. “They have both devoted a lot of time to the UN and we thank them.”
Brazilian racing driver Felipe Massa published several photos on Instagram, which he says show him at the wedding party in Geneva, including with the wedding couple. Earlier this year, Yeoh became the first Asian woman to win the Best Actress Oscar for her role in the action comedy Everything Everywhere All at Once.
