The singer Freddy Persa, father of the singer, confirmed the unfortunate news through his social networks where he shared a series of photographs with an emotional farewell message.

Although Freddy Persa avoided revealing the reasons for her death, Mexican media indicate that the actress died as a result of cervical cancer that had been diagnosed several years ago.

Cecilia Priego was known for having participated in several successful soap operas on TV Azteca, including Pobre diabla, Pasión Morena or Huérfanas.
