Actor Ron Cephas Jones has died at the age of 66. The American actor, best known for his role in the hit series This Is Usdied from the effects of a long-term lung disease.
Jones played in several seasons of This Is Us the role of William Hill, a bisexual, terminally ill ex-addict who reconnects after years with his estranged biological son. The role earned him two Emmy Awards, among other things.
Jones was known as a versatile actor, who impressed both on camera and on stage.
A year ago he was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in the play Clyde’s. The play is about the owner of a restaurant who offers ex-prisoners a new chance.
Other major series in which the actor appeared were Luke Cage in Law & Order. He also sometimes acted in films, such as Half Nelson, Venom in Sweet and Lowdown.
