Actor Dalimil Klapka has died – Novinky.cz

Klapka was very active until his old age and did not lose his appetite for work. In recent years, however, he has faced numerous health complications, including he fought a hard fight with cancer.

Dalimil Klapka was born in 1933 in Prague. Already at the grammar school, he devoted himself to amateur theater and later graduated from the Prague DAMU.

He worked at the Realistic Theater in Smíchov, at the Karlín Music Theater, at the Old Town Theater, at the Dlouhá Theater, at the Drama Club and at the Fidlovačka Theater.

For example, he dubbed his grandfather Simpson and Seymour Skinner in the American animated series The Simpsons. He also lent his voice to Lieutenant Columb.

He got rather minor roles in the film. He starred in the films Sokolovo and Anna Proletářka, in the fairy tale Bajaja and later in Saturnin, Experts and in the sequel to the well-known fairy tale Saxan and the lexicon of magic.

He often starred in television series – for example, 30 cases of Major Zeman, Ambulance, District in the North, The Adventures of Criminology, Gendarmerie Humor, Kriminálka Anděl and Polda.
