Prince Harry back in the UK for Prince Philip’s funeral | NOW

Prince Harry is according to The Sun back in the UK for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip. Prince Charles’ son arrived at Heathrow airport without his wife Meghan Markle on Sunday afternoon, an eyewitness told the British tabloid newspaper.

After the death of Prince Philip, Harry reportedly made immediate preparations to board the plane because he had to be quarantined for five days upon arrival in London. He is expected to sleep in his former home Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace for the next few days. Philip’s funeral is next Saturday in Windsor.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on Saturday that the Duke of Sussex is coming to the United Kingdom for the funeral. Markle is lagging behind in the United States. Because she is heavily pregnant, she is not advised to travel.

Her absence also eliminates potentially uncomfortable encounters with family members. Due to the controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, the relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the family has deteriorated. In the interview, Harry and Markle said, among other things, that someone in the royal family had “concerns” about the skin color of their son Archie when Markle was still pregnant. Oprah later clarified that it was not about Queen Elizabeth or Prince Philip.
