Activists from Kick Out Zwarte Piet will now campaign every quarter

The anti-blackhead activists of Kick Out Zwarte Piet (KOZP) are going to take more actions. According to foreman Jerry Afriyie it will no longer only happen in the run-up to Sinterklaas, but there are actions planned in the quarter. They will sometimes be announced, but can also be a surprise. “It can be on a blue Monday or on a meatloaf day, but all actions must be constructive and bring us closer to our goal. We are not going to shoot ourselves in the foot. “

Afriyie cannot yet say what the KOZP actions will look like, but it will be actions that “the Netherlands will be super proud of in 50 years”. The aim is to “put an end to the injustice that black people have to endure,” says Afriyie.

The plans were devised on Saturday by some 80 activists at a meeting in the Willem II showroom in Den Bosch. The location was intentionally kept secret. At the beginning of November a meeting of KOZP in The Hague was disrupted by dozens of supporters of Zwarte Piet. They committed vandalism and wanted to penetrate the building with fireworks.
