In the evening June 26 in Kiev a protest action took place near StereoPlazawhere the Russian rapper performed with a concert Basta (Vasily Vakulenko).
The activists came with placards, hung a banner “Basta – Rusnya” on the bridge and lit fireworks. They shouted out “Crimea is Ukraine, Basta is an occupier”, transfers “Censor. No”.
The purpose of the protest action was to remind that the artist illegally gave concerts in the occupied Crimea, played the role of a Russian military man who serves on the peninsula and participated in other propaganda actions.
At the same time, a public and political figure, the ex-leader of the Odessa cell of the “Right Sector” Sergey Sternenko noted that “caring citizens and neighbors, outraged by loud music and inappropriate behavior of Basta’s fans, left there an important message” – “a hint for the SBU.”
As reported OBOZREVATEL, Basta concert in Kiev took place despite protests. At the entrance to StereoPlaza, fans told reporters that “art is out of politics.” The activists did not interfere with their passage into the premises, but verbal skirmishes did occur.
We will remind, earlier Vakulenko allowed to visit Ukrainebecause the travel ban has expired. The SBU restrictions no longer apply to him.
