Acer presents monitor with local dimming and oled game screen with 4k resolution – Computer – News

Acer has presented three new game monitors at the CES trade show in Las Vegas. This involves screens of 32 and 37.5 inches, and a 4k display of 55 inches. The monitors fall into the Predator series and support Nvidia’s G-Sync.

The new monitors were announced at the tech fair that takes place this week in Las Vegas. The smallest monitor is the Predator X32. It has a UHD resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, with a screen brightness of 1440 cd / m², and uses local dimming. The monitor has a refresh rate of 144Hz and a viewing angle of 178 degrees on an ips panel and has support for Nvidia’s G-Sync. There are three HDMI 2.0 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4 connection and four USB 3.0 ports on the monitor. The Predator X32 comes in Europe in the second quarter of this year for 3299 euros.

The Predator X38 is slightly larger than the X32, but has a curved screen in addition to the larger size. The uwqhd + screen has a resolution of 3840×1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 175Hz when overclocked. In that case, the monitor also has a response time of 1ms. The monitor has a curvature of 2300R. The X38 will cost 2199 euros.

Acer also brings out a much larger monitor, with a diagonal of 55 inches. It is a 4k-oled screen with a screen brightness of 400 cd / m². This CG552K monitor has a variable refresh rate that is up to 120Hz, with a response time of 0.5 milliseconds and is compatible with Adaptive Sync. Acer says it wants to make the monitor compatible with G-Sync, but the device still needs to be certified. The monitor has a presence sensor which means that it switches on automatically power savingmode can go. There are three HDMI 2.0 ports and two DisplayPort 1.4 ports on the back, and a USB-C port. The CG522K will be released in Europe in the third quarter for 2699 euros.
