On Friday evening, Avisa Nordland received a report that a tractor carrying a person had capsized in the sea at Rødøy. Something the Central Rescue Service has confirmed.
Shortly after midnight on Saturday night, police confirm that a man died in the tractor accident. The accident must have occurred at Vågåholmen in Rødøy.
The incident was reported at 8.37pm on Friday evening.
– A tractor in the water and an unconscious man. Life-saving first aid was administered, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene by a medic.
The police are opening a file on the matter.
Relatives have been notified.
