The little one was in the company of his grandfather, following the harvesting work that was taking place in a family plot in the countryside of the Maniga hamlet. He was probably playing in the tractor bed when he got inside the trailer, parked at the side of the field.

Nobody would have noticed his presence. Not even the worker who continued the grain pouring operations. Among the hypotheses it is not excluded that, having entered to play, the child may have slipped and therefore suffocated by the crop present at that moment on the bottom of the trailer. But he could also have been a victim of the fumes released by the same.

A Samuele’s family is well known in the village: the mother Nadia Allocco, works at the hotel of the Agenzia di Pollenzo, and the father Fabio, on the other hand, the head orchestra of the smooth group I Roeri. Both had to resort to medical care because under shock: they were transported to the emergency room of the hospital in Savigliano, while the body of the child, now lifeless despite the resuscitation attempts of 118, was taken to the Verduno hospital awaiting the ‘autopsy.

Samuele had turned 10 in May and until some time ago he lived in Carmagnola with his family. Altar boy every Sunday at the Foresto parish, he was passionate about football, a sport he practiced on the fields of the Cavallermaggiore youth teams in the role of forward. A sunny child, he was playing football with my son, a real tragedy – says Marco Pedussia the deputy mayor of Sommariva del Bosco -. We are close to the family.
