Heavy crash in Lenzburg AG! An intoxicated Sri Lankan (29) crashed his BMW into the rear of a VW Polo that was driven by a North Macedonian (25). Five people had to go to the hospital, reports the Aargau canton police. Nobody was seriously injured.

The accident happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Polo drove from Sägestrasse to the right into Niederlenzstrasse. Shortly afterwards, the BMW crashed violently into the rear of the small car. The BMW driver and the 4 occupants (including two children) of the VW were looked after by the paramedics and brought to the hospital for control. One girl (6) had to be admitted to the hospital.

The alcohol test at the BMW driver showed a value of over 2 per thousand. A criminal investigation was opened against the Sri Lankan and his driver’s license was confiscated. The white BMW has been temporarily confiscated. (vof)
