Access to and from Jakarta will be blocked during the Eid homecoming prohibition

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that later there will be blockages on toll roads, arteries and collector roads that will become the access in and out of the Jakarta area during the period of Lebaran homecoming prohibition on May 6-17, 2021.

“The lockdown will be on toll roads, arteries, and collector roads, which will become public entry and exit points,” said Syafrin at the City Hall of DKI Jakarta, Friday (9/4/2021).

In addition, officers will also take action against violations of the rules during the ban on homecoming trips. The officers deployed came from elements of the Transportation Service, Police, and TNI.

Syafrin said that the action was not only carried out in the insulation locations, but also at the shadow terminals that were still operating.

“So against violations, for example there is a ban on the operation of public transportation to leave Jabodetabek, then it turns out that there are still those who commit violations from the shadow terminals, for example, for example, at several points it is still being carried out, from the Department of Transportation together with the Police and the TNI will carry out control,” said Syafrin.

Syafrin added, the Police have currently established 333 isolation points starting from Sumatra to Java. However, the point of isolation for the Jabodetabek area is still being discussed with the Police.

“The rat tracks have been mapped and insulation has been made,” said Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, Friday.

The blockages in the mouse lane are outside of the eight points that have been set to filter out vehicles that want to leave Jakarta.

Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya has prepared 380 officers to carry out security.

“There are 380 (people) every day. If the point increases later, we will add more (personnel),” he said.
