Abu Dhabi and Dubai are better places to live Abu Dhabi and Dubai are better places to live

Dubai: Abu Dhabi and Dubai have again been selected as the best cities to live in in the West Asian and African region. This is underlined by a survey conducted by the Economic Intelligence Unit. A rapid recovery from the Covid pandemic and the rapid completion of vaccination have helped both cities to be at the top of the list.

The report notes that Abu Dhabi and Dubai were largely open without major restrictions following the first wave of Covid-19 in 2020, contributing to a relatively rapid recovery in the financial sector. It was also possible to complete the covid vaccination for all sections by June this year. All this has made both cities suitable for living and working even in times of crisis.

Globally, Dubai is the fastest city to open after Covid. The outbreak was controlled through strict policies implemented by the authorities. With the epidemic weakening, there has been a large influx of tourism from different parts of the world to the two emirates. Dubai has been selected as the busiest airport in the world. As of August, 41 lakhs of visitors arrived. Dubai has jumped to the top spot after London Heathrow Airport (34 lakh). During the first six months of this year, Dubai airport received 2.79 million passengers. Compared to the first half of 2021, there was an increase of 161.9 percent. Dubai’s population has surpassed 35 lakhs this year. All of this is evident in the growing number of people choosing to live in the UAE.

After Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Kuwait City, Tel Aviv and Bahrain are on the list. The most difficult cities to live in the region are Damascus, Lagos and Tripoli.
