Maher Hajj Kaddour, 25 from Nijmegen, was forcibly removed from the train, apparently because he had put on his face mask a second too late. The images are here to see. What a completely hysterical reaction from the enforcers!
Maher’s story seems to indicate that he was removed from the train because a conductor thought he should put on his face mask before boarding the train. But he explains that he was in a hurry and had put on his face mask as soon as he got inside, at least before entering the compartment.
The conductor would then have called Safety & Service and said something like ‘I have someone here without a mask’. The employees who came to the report would assume that he did not have a valid ticket, but (as Hajj Kaddour’s audio recordings seem to indicate) made no attempt to verify this. Mister had to and would therefore be forced out of the train!
And this is where it gets strange, because the railways stick to the reading that Hajj Kaddour did not wear a mask on the train and did not have a valid ticket. They do not give any other reason for this excessive violence. In fact, they just confess their guilt for their own overreaction but keep pretending this is normal. Utter idiot!
In that respect, I agree with Hajj Kaddour completely and I hope that he will achieve something with his complaint and report against the NS and the police. But what I do not participate in is his added suspicion / accusation of discrimination. As far as I have been able to read, this does not seem to be the case, or at least there is no evidence for it. I don’t think adding that extra layer to this indictment makes any sense and only unnecessarily sharpen things up (or well, even sharper). Even though they do act like a bunch of Nazis by going so hard on the rules. Come on …
