About PT Amman Nusa Tenggara, ESDM: We immediately deploy a team

GIACARTA, KOMPAS.com – Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) will review the Anti-Mining Mafia Society Alliance (Mandate) reports that reveal various violations allegedly committed by PT Amman ore Nusa Tenggara.

The reports received were in the form of termination of employment (PHK) of employees, deep-sea disposal of B3 processing waste, sale of iron waste or scrap iron that would be carried out by the company.

The Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rida Mulyana, said his party will study the report carefully and send a team to West Sumbawa to confirm the veracity of the report.

“We have to control the process on the ground, for that we will field a team immediately, because this requires cross-sector collaboration. Even so, we will keep this relationship as a record,” he said on Sunday in Bakoel Koffie, Jakarta (30/30). ).

In addition, he said, the problems that occurred in PT Amman Nusa Tenggara is a bit complex. However, he feels that there is a gap between the company and the workers and the surrounding community, which is related to communication.

“We live in the same country, we have the same flag, the same language, everything is the same and because we don’t have the same ideals, right? So this problem can also be related to communication, because of the relationship problem,” he said.

VII DPR RI Commission member Adian Napitupulu added that his party will discuss this mining issue with the VII DPR RI Commission and will convene the management of PT Amman Nusa Tenggara at the next hearing meeting (RDP).

“Yes, after that we will definitely convene the directors. We invite the RDP with Commission VII,” he said.

In addition, Adian continued, his party will also pay a working visit to PT Amman Nusa Tenggara to conduct direct checks.

“Because mining is an interesting business. Don’t let it go after mining, the surrounding community will only receive waste and losses. While the pleasure is enjoyed by only a few people,” he said.
