Pyramids captain Abdullah Al-Saeed approached the equation of the number of his former teammate Mohamed Abu Trika, the legend of Al-Ahly in the list of the most goals scored in the Egyptian Premier League competition.
Al-Saeed led his team to beat Egypt Clearing (3-1) today, Tuesday, in the 14th round of the Egyptian League, after he scored the first two goals for Pyramids, the first from a penalty kick in the 20th minute and the second in the last minute of the first half.
The 34-year-old boosted his top spot on top scorers, raising his score to 12 goals in 13 games, widening the difference with his closest pursuit, Mohamed Sharif, Enppi player who scored eight goals.
Pyramids playmaker reached his most goals in the league during one season, surpassing what he achieved throughout the 2015-16 edition when he scored 11 goals with Al-Ahly in 30 games.
And Abdullah Al-Saeed, who entered the league’s 100th league a few days ago, raised his score to 102 goals, exceeding Jamal Abdul Hamid in the historical list of league scorers and approaching the Abu Trika equation, which scored 106 goals with Al-Ahly and Arsenal.
Al-Saeed scored 50 goals with Al-Ahly from (2011-12) until (2017-18), and 36 goals with Al-Ismaili from (2003-04) until (2010-11), before he scored 16 goals with Pyramids in the past and current seasons.
