Saab has stopped producing cars for more than a decade, but the passion for these cars is still huge, even if there are practically no Saab dealers in the world, and the maintenance of classic cars requires a lot of mutual help between Saab fans. However, in France there is an abandoned Saab showroom, inside which more than 20 cars of the brand were discovered.
The showroom is located in the north of the city of Amiens in France, in the area of an industrial park. The building, being abandoned and located in an area where few people travel, remained somewhat safe from the public’s attention.
However, from behind the window you can see a few cars placed in the showroom. These were used cars at the time, where dealers were already having trouble getting new models from the factory and were selling second-hand models to survive.
The cars were slightly vandalized in the meantime, with broken windows and missing wheels, but they do not seem destroyed anyway, they can be repaired and rehabilitated.
In the service area, however, the entire interior space is practically packed with cars, mostly Saabs. Here are also Saab 9000 models, and 9-5 or 9-3 turbo!
Most of them are in a dusty and abandoned state and it’s hard to say how much effort they would need to rehabilitate, but surely Saab fans will be sad to see more than 20 examples sitting here, prey to dust and rust.
It is not known exactly what happened to this former Saab dealer, but it seems that it was run by two brothers, and one of them fell ill and later the other was unable to save the company from imminent bankruptcy, shortly after and the factory stopped producing Saab models.
It is not clear to whom these cars belong now, legally, and if someone could try to buy and restore them. It’s one of those situations where everything seems to have frozen in history, and it’s no longer clear where the thread was lost.
