Aaron Judge will participate in the circuit contest only if it takes place in New York

In recent years, the MLB has had all the hardships in the world to attract its stars for the circuit contest. A guy like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is not sure who is a prime candidate.

Even though a guy like Shohei Ohtani will be there, it’s not always easy to attract eight good, healthy guys.

Among the recalcitrant, we note the two hitters of the Yankees. Obviously having guys like Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge would be quite a hit for MLB.

If Stanton has said he’s open to going back one day, that’s not exactly the case with Aaron Judge, who doesn’t necessarily want to go back… unless it’s in New York.

Unless he sees the All-Star Game in New York City, he doesn’t want to return to the contest, which he won in 2017.

We imagine that he does not like disrupting his momentum and risking injury.

When he says New York, we dare believe he is talking about the Bronx and not Queens. Would he go if the game took place at the Mets’ Citi Field?

Would he go if he played under another uniform? Does he really mean “go there when it’s home” when talking about going to New York?

These are questions to which I have no answer. But what I do know is that old Yankee Stadium hosted the game in 2008 and Citi Field was the site of the 2013 edition.

Here we are enlightened. We suspected that he feels like this in relation to the competition, but here we are fixed with his own mouth.

  • Good news for Abraham Toro.
