As part of the investment, a dual carriageway motorway was built with two lanes and a reserve for the third lane. Local roads were built to handle local traffic.

In the section between the Halinów junction and the beginning of the Mińsk Mazowiecki bypass, on both sides of the route, there are also Passenger Service Areas (MOP) and the Motorway Maintenance Circuit (OUA). The works are to be completed in October this year.

The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways indicated that the commissioning of the new section “will allow transit traffic to be diverted from the old DK2 between the Halinów junction and Mińsk Mazowiecki and shorten the travel time”. “In addition, drivers will also be able to use two slip roads at the Lubelska junction along the S17 route Siedlce – Lublin and Lublin – Siedlce” – added road workers.
