A workshop in the “Middle East” on the mental health of students and teachers

The Middle East University is committed to improving and developing the quality of its services to its students and employees in order to ensure the quality of its outputs.

In this regard, the Deanship of Student Affairs at the university, in cooperation with the King Abdullah Fund for Development and the Career Guidance Office for Graduate Follow-up, organized a workshop centered on the mental health of teachers and students and its impact on life path choices.

The workshop, which was presented by the teacher trainer Haneen Al-Araiqat and the international professional counselor Doaa Al-Khawaja, addressed the importance of students having a deep knowledge of the foundations of choosing their majors away from what is imposed on them by parents and society, and that they must choose the disciplines they are interested in exploring, and the skills they want to build. and the need of the labor market that they want to be a part of.

The workshop focused on what might impede the delivery of the educational message by the teacher to the students, and that he must prepare a list showing the level of skills needed to counter the burden of teaching at different levels.

In turn, the Dean explained that the workshop came as one of the university’s programs aimed at helping students choose their career and academic path.
