Animal defender, 34-year-old US citizen Alice Dei took a calf for a walk through Moscow’s Red Square. The police arrested the woman.
Alice told TASS that she bought the calf Avito to save him from slaughter.
“I redeemed the calf so that it would not be eaten. I decided to take him to such a beautiful place and show him the country,” she said.
Two administrative protocols have been drawn up for the girl – for resisting the police and for unauthorized conduct. For both charges, she faces an administrative penalty of up to 15 days, a fine, or forced labor. According to “RIA Novosti”, the calf was taken to an animal rehabilitation center.
The media notes that similar stories have already happened with Alice. In 2019, the activist bought a pig from a farm in the suburbs of London and housed it in her apartment. In 2021, the same thing happened in the Dnieper with a calf and a piglet, and in 2022 with a ram in Warsaw.
