How can reality be better understood than by showing it? This reflection is simple and it is the decision made by the FDSEA of Côte-d’Or. Despite the demonstrations last October in Dijon, the union believes that farmers are still struggling to be heard. This is why, it is this time through a video format, that the farmers hope that the state of the cultures will speak for itself.
Lasting discomfort for farmers in Côte-d’Or
FDSEA 21 explains that farms on the Côte d’Or, especially those producing arable crops, are still experiencing great difficulties this year.
However, “Agriculture remains one of the pillars of the economy and employment in our rural areas. The safeguarding of our sector is therefore a necessity for the territory” reminds the union. He deplores the fact that the vagaries of the weather, public policies without an economic vision, speeches not followed by effects on food sovereignty are linked and repeated over and over again.
Proposals that remained unheeded
“However, we have made many proposals in recent years to get out of this difficult situation, to include our agriculture in the objectives of sustainable development, as much on the environmental as on the social and economic aspects. GAEC eligible for the solidarity fund
This repeated request from FNSEA has just been heard by the public authorities. Until now, farmers associated in GAEC could not apply for aid due to the absence of individual SIRET / SIREN for each operator. Each partner in the group can now claim aid up to € 1,500, depending on the GAEC’s declared loss of turnover
