At the beginning of the year, Reinis Nitišs announced his activity plan, which included an extended rally program, but the Covid-19 pandemic suspended all motorsport competitions for several months. As the situation normalizes, the active motorsport season has resumed and this weekend Jekabpils is planned to have two starts – on Saturday Viru Rally in Estonia, and on Sunday with a buggy in the Baltic Rallycross Championship stage in Biķernieki.

” This was a difficult time for all of us – the organizers were forced to postpone and cancel the planned competition, so I had to take a forced break and our annual plans and goals were ‘put in the air’. At the moment, we have to adjust to the current situation and evaluate which races to start in, ”begins Reinis Nitišs. ” We have not sat there during this time. We did a couple of rally trainings as soon as possible, but it can’t be compared to the experience gained in racing mode, so I’m glad that we will be able to start the real rally again and continue the work. “

Viru Rally will take place on July 4 in Northern Estonia, around the city of Rakvere. The rally will have seven ground stages with a total distance of 88.40 km. The start of the first special stage of the rally is scheduled for 10.38, but the start of the final stage – at 19.00.

” This will be a very busy weekend – on Saturday we will drive a rally in Estonia, but already on Sunday I will start with a buggy in the Baltic Rallycross Championship stage in Biķernieki. Riding with a buggy provides a precise and constant driving training and, of course, the adrenaline of the race and the fight for the best result will not be missed, ”says Reinis Nitišs.
