Researchers have revealed a natural chemical compound in turmeric that can contribute to the treatment of eight types of cancer.
According to the English newspaper The Sun, the researchers said turmeric is rich in anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidants and plays an important role in stopping the development of tumors.
The researchers found that turmeric’s ability to stop the growth of eight types of cancer are breast, lung, blood, stomach, pancreas, intestines, bone marrow and prostate cancer.
Researchers from Temple University in Philadelphia say that turmeric prevents the transfer of nutrients to tumors, as well as the death of healthy cells by preventing cancer cells from releasing harmful proteins.
The researchers explained that, despite the recent disclosure, it has not been tested in large-scale human experiments.
The researchers hope that their discovery will contribute to more clinical studies on the effect of “curcumin” in front of cancer.
