This IBM device was developed by not so long ago – in the early 2000s. The supercomputer was called ASCI White, and the US Department of Energy used it for its own computing needs. The device had a theoretical performance of 12.3 teraflops, which is almost equal to the power of 12 teraflops of the new Xbox Series X. True, the IBM solution was much more expensive than the set-top box – about $ 110 million and weighed 106 tons, and consumed as much as 6 MW!
