The death toll from the coronavirus pandemic in the Dordogne, which was 11 dead Friday, April 17, has increased this weekend. The Regional Health Agency (ARS) reports a twelfth death this Sunday, April 19. This is the sixth in the hospital. Three other people died in retirement homes, including two at the La Coquille nursing home, and three in an Alzheimer’s unit at the Verger des Balans in Annesse-et-Beaulieu.
A total of 187 confirmed cases are listed to date in the department by Public Health France, as many as the day before. 54 people are still hospitalized due to the coronavirus, including six in the intensive care unit.
Since the start of the epidemic, 40 people have been able to return home.
