In recent years, Sonic the Hedgehog fans have embraced the expansion of the universe through films and animated series such as Sonic Boom.
The next project on this list is Sonic Prime, an upcoming series from Netflix that brings us a whole new adventure with Sonic, his enemies and friends.
Today, Netflix and Sega released a trailer showing Sonic in his usual habitat: running across the green hills to his worst enemies, including Dr. Robotnik and everyone’s favorite Shadow.
Another familiar face you saw in the trailer above is Big the Cat. This fan favorite character will appear in the upcoming game sonic frontiers along with a role in an upcoming show.
In the game, Big Cat will reportedly hide in a portal and offer a fishing mini-game. The fish can be exchanged for tokens, which unlock voice journals, additional content and more.
As for the animated show, Sonic Prime will be released exclusively on Netflix this winter.
