The incident occurred at one of the city’s busy intersections and was caught on surveillance cameras. A 21-year-old girl was about to cross the road and waited for the green light. At that moment, a car drove into a traffic light at speed and fell on the pregnant woman’s head. The driver drove away from the scene of the accident, but police found him. The car was taken to the impound lot, and the man was given two fines at once.
The victim was taken to the hospital. According to doctors, her life is not in danger.
“A woman born in 2002 was admitted in the morning. She was diagnosed with a concussion and was hospitalized in the neurosurgical department. At the moment, the patient’s condition is of moderate severity. She is 10 weeks pregnant and has a subcutaneous hematoma of the frontal region. It heals completely without surgery,” said Saken Zhumashev, Deputy head physician of the Taraz multidisciplinary hospital.
