A touch of digitization at the annual meeting of cardiologists

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The touch of digitization continues to expand. Collaborating with the platform online, Alomedia and Management of Indonesian Internet Domain Names (PANDI), the Association of Indonesian Cardiovascular Specialists (Perki) Banten held The 20th Annual Progress in Cardiovascular Disease (APICD) 2021.

APICD 2021 is a series of annual scientific activities of PERKI Banten held on November 6-7 and November 13-14 This year APICD is held online in collaboration with the Alomedika platform.

“This is an advantage. because doctors and other health workers from all over Indonesia can participate in this seminar, it’s not limited to Banten Province,” said Eko Saputra, Chair of APICD 2021, in an online presentation on Saturday (6/11).

There is something different from APICD this year. APICD is not only intended for health workers but also for the general public. According to Eko, heart disease is still the highest cause of death in the world and in Indonesia.

Hoaxes and myths are growing rapidly in society which makes people even more afraid to hear about this heart disease. APICD strives to provide a means for cardiologists to counter or clarify such hoax or mythical information.

A total of 70 heart specialists who are members of the Perki Banten organization wrote and compiled a book entitled 70 Myths or Facts about Heart Disease. This book is aimed at the general public.
