A teacher at a Madrid school has been arrested and is in provisional prison for allegedly harassing several of his students, minors, through social networks. Five of his victims have been identified, inducing them to take photos of sexual content and send them to them on Instagram. This 51-year-old man gave gifts to minors, between the ages of 14 and 16, to obtain this material with erotic content, in addition to trying to arrange meetings with them to have sexual relations. It has been the director of the center itself who has denounced him, the National Police reported this Wednesday, which only states that the center is in the Community of Madrid, but not its name or whether it is public, arranged or private in order to protect to the minors.
The arrested person always acted with the same modus operandi: He took advantage of his age superiority, as well as his status as a teacher, and contacted the students he taught on Instagram. Once contact was established with them, the conversations were guided towards a sexual theme in which he sought the exchange of photographs and videos of a pornographic nature, always trying to establish real encounters with them.
The alarm was raised by the director of the school, who denounced the events. He told the agents that one of the teachers at his educational center had inappropriate relationships with female students, which is why he had already been expelled. The agents searched the teacher’s home and found five mobile phones, three hard drives, a tablet and a large number of files on child sexual exploitation, also newly produced, whose distribution is common in online pedophile circles. Among the seized material were videos recorded by the arrested, both on the street and in public transport, minors and even their students in the classroom.
One of the minors said that she had been contacted by the teacher through Instagram and that he had sent her a video with sexual content starring himself. In addition, he proposed to have sex at his home. The same happened with his younger sister, a student from the same school, who stated that she had also had sexual conversations with the detainee, in which photos of sexual content had been exchanged, and in which she had proposed to arrange a sexual encounter.
The researchers have also found audiovisual content belonging to two minors who, once they were identified, said that they had known the teacher for two years and that they had maintained a virtual relationship in which they regularly exchanged material with sexual content. Also, they got to know each other. The detainee had come to the vicinity of their homes to see them and came to appear on the same beach where one of the girls was with her family during the summer holidays.
It has been found that this detail is true in the seized material. The teacher was even photographed by the victim’s family because he was in front of the minor’s room on public roads and in a suspicious attitude. Both victims had received gifts from the detainee such as a smartphone or top-ups to their mobile phones in order to continue with the exchanges of sexual material.
The agents have identified another victim of which he had material in his underwear. In her statement, the girl said that the person under investigation was her teacher and that she repeatedly referred to sexual issues during school hours. Once the course was over, they began with sexual conversations in which the detainee constantly requested images from the victim. Their refusals provoked the anger of the teacher, who even asked the minor for a clothing item. The victim confessed that she felt a deep sense of anguish and terror when she turned 16, the age at which the teacher spoke to her about having sex.
