It’s kind of birthday time right now. While Disneyland Paris is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary, Super Nintendo World, the Nintendo amusement park located in Japan is celebrating its one year anniversary, and for the occasion the Japanese brand has announced that it will export the concept to the United States in 2023!
Always with Universal
The Super Nintendo World is just one wing of the Universal Studio Japan Park, with 50 billion yen, so about 400 million euros for the construction, which is therefore more expensive and larger than that of Harry Potter! And logically in the USA it will be in the Universal Studios Hollywood park in the State of California.
For those who expect to find all the characters of the constructor you will be a little disappointed. Not Kirby, Link from Zelda, no it’s Mario, Luigi and their friend who are in the spotlight in this park which should take up the design and concepts of its Japanese counterpart. We will therefore find ourselves in the mushroom kingdom with the music of the games to accompany us and to take our picture with Mario, Toad or Princess Peach. Level attraction a Mario Kart of course, and a Yoshi train which will make you discover the park. We are also expecting a roller coaster Donkey Kong, and the Pokémon license which should land.
Note that Nintendo is already planning the opening of a second park in Orlando in 2025
No French Universal Studio
No news from Playstation and Xbox park for direct competitors, but who better than ubisoft, a French company to settle with us! A park project has been mentioned for a few months and would be planned for 2025. One can imagine the staging of Assassin’s Creed, Rayman, Splinter Cell, Far Cry, The Crew, Rainbow Six in several attractions. The idea comes from the fact that the company collaborated for the creation of the Rabbids attraction at Futuroscope.
