With Romain Lejeune, she launched in 2014 The Blind Suns, a rock band we regularly talk to you about here, the last time on the occasion of the release of the first single from a third album then in preparation.
The album is out today, rock, very rock, it’s called “Crisis Mode”. Dorota and Romain are currently promoting it live here and there, notably on August 5 in the garden of the Museum of Fine Arts in Angers, August 11 at the Ferrailleur in Nantes or September 24 at the Quai in La-Roche-sur-Yon. .

What is for you the title, the soundtrack of summer 2022?
Dorota. “Full Circle”, a brand new title from the Franco-American duo Faux Real 🙂 It’s a band we’ve been following for a while and of which we’re a fan. For those who don’t know, it’s halfway between psych rock and super vintage pop.
What does this title mean to you?
Dorota. As much in its musical aspect, visual or in the message that it transmits this title plunges us into the most delicious confusion. One thing we like a lot with The Blind Suns: playing with visual and textual symbols that clash with the solar and pop look of the music we make. The Faux Real brothers do it one step further. This new title, beyond its musical universe which this time wants to be a little more modern in the choice of sounds and effects, transmits an important message which speaks to us enormously: “Full Circle, it is to return to itself by breaking and rebuilding itself. It’s about finding yourself in the ruins”. A sentence that could perfectly sum up our latest album “Crisis Mode” released in May 2022.
What does this artist duo represent for you?
Dorota. First of all, Faux Real is a duo of twin brothers of French origin who reside in the United States. In life and especially on stage, they exude an unparalleled complicity providing an eccentric and avant-garde show that mixes choreography, playing instruments and songs. They are independent, passionate, committed artists who grow in a DIY way through the love of the art they create. We have enormous esteem and respect for this kind of artists. We ourselves have been practicing the DIY technique for a very long time, we know what a monster job and what a crazy mind it represents.

A word about your news, the news of the group?
Dorota. We released our 3rd studio album “Crisis Mode” in May, so we are currently on tour to promote it and play its songs live. We have for this summer a duo formula accompanied by machines and we return in quartet from the start of the school year. We are also developing a cultural action project around rock, which we will have the opportunity to talk about again soon.
And vacations ?
Dorota. Summer is hot so we take advantage of it this year to rest between the few summer concerts in the great west 🙂 In the meantime for me it’s an imminent departure for Croatia! I cut everything for 10 days and see you at the Tempo2Rives festival in Angers on August 5th!
