I have been a member of the party for over 50 years. I don’t know if you were born. I have experienced many things – successes, disappointments, victories and losses. Many times it happened that I was not proud of the words and deeds of the “responsible comrades”. Unfortunately, recently the cases in which I feel ashamed have become more frequent. I am ashamed of your words and actions, I am also ashamed of your close ones who repeat them.
It hardly makes sense to say that our party is not doing well. I hope you are at least aware of this and at least that much in touch with reality. We first lost half of our votes and came third, then from that half we lost another half and now we are fifth.
I hear it explained, and not only by you, that our voters were dead. Well, we’re not dead. At least I know many sets that are alive. Some of us even managed to vote for the BSP the last few times. Even if it was with disgust. We are disgusted by the way you have broken up our party. We are disgusted by these same candidates that we have shown at the meetings and in the elections four times that we do not want, and you are offering them to us for the fifth time. Do you realize that you do not hear the discontent of your own party, how can people trust you that you will listen to the people? On top of that, we have to bear the shame of their inadequate appearances on television. Let’s listen to them speak. To talk nonsense. To expose the party. To expose us. How come you couldn’t at least on the fifth time find some intelligent people who could tell two nice stories each?!? Look around you – where are the magnificent lawyers that our party used to have? Where are the energy experts? Where are the teachers and doctors who are known not only in their region, but are national figures? You offer us compromised, unknown and mediocre people in their thinking, without brightness, without vision, without expertise.
But something else also disgusts us – me and the comrades in my and several other party organizations. We are disgusted by the senseless malice towards the president. I honestly admit that I don’t know how this man, even if he is a general and whatever iron nerves he has, I don’t know how he found the strength to give you the mandate so many times and to lend you a hand.
We are disgusted by the endless duplicity about arms supplies to Ukraine, where you allegedly did not send a single cartridge, but in fact every day it is exported by airplanes and shooting ranges. If you didn’t know and it happened without your permission, then why were you the deputy prime minister of industry? It disgusts us how the government, with our participation, expelled the Russian diplomats and shut down Gazprom, and you did nothing. Didn’t you go to the meetings of the Council of Ministers, where were you Mrs. Ninova? And you didn’t know that? Why didn’t you leave the government, if you care so much for Bulgarian interests?
But most disgusting of all was the rigged vote at the last congress. Many times we, as socialists, have also accused GERB and others of falsifications. But what happened in front of the whole of Bulgaria and can be seen on the Internet is how a vote of our congress was falsified. I’ve never been so ashamed. You unconstitutionally and with falsification excluded from the party its future.
I’ve always wondered why you don’t like young people so much, and now I know. I don’t know if that’s just the tip of the iceberg or another time you put as candidates the people no one wants to see and listen to and no one has ever elected. Only you like them. But the fact that you are directly elected does not give you the right to single-handedly rule the party as a tyrant and without regard for its members.
I could write a lot more. But I don’t know if it makes sense. Many of my comrades also became disgusted long ago. We tried several times. We voted in disgust. We hoped that after your next failure you would come to your senses and change something. Apparently it was in vain. How did you allow BSP iconic persons to unite because you did not accept them to be part of BSP. They would have been traitors if they had not given you a hand. And in the end, the BSP is where the left-wing people are. I know many people now not only sympathizers but also party members who will not vote at all in this election. However, I chose to support the Left because there were only three letters left in the BSP. Working people need a power to protect them. Apparently BSP cannot be that force while you are the chairman. Surely the faces in the Left are not very new. Maybe some of them are as compromised as you are, though I doubt it. But at least I will know that in parliament the left will be represented by intelligent people with capacity and I will not be ashamed to vote for them.
I am particularly impressed by Kostadin Paskalev. He united the left forces, but refused to be an MP. If nothing else, at least consider his example. I will never throw away my party card. You should go back to SDS.
The BSP will have it, but after you, Comrade Ninova, and without you.
