Gold prices fell by 22 pounds, to become the 21 carat most traded in the local market at 775 pounds, after its decline in the world and the drop in the price of an ounce, to $ 1777.
Amir Rizk, a member of the Jewelers Division of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, confirmed that there has been a significant decline in gold over the past 3 days, which led to a decrease in the price of an ounce by $ 5 to $ 1777 instead of $ 1782.
Rizk added to “Al-Masry Al-Youm” that the decline is due to the high price of the dollar worldwide, expecting that the decline will continue during the coming period, until the Christmas celebrations season.
Rizk pointed out that the 24-carat became 858 pounds per gram, 21-karat at 775 pounds per gram, and 18-gauge at 694 pounds per gram, and the price of a gold pound reached 6200 pounds.
Rizk advised those who are about to get married to buy before the New Year’s Eve celebrations, which are witnessing a turnout for buying, and is expected to increase in that period.
