Created by Pierre Cardin, who died last year, the Lacoste festival in the Lubéron continues to live on thanks to the nephew of the creator.

A children’s story as the starting point for an unprecedented immersion. All in the middle of the night under the stars, for a marriage of science and dance. It is in a unique place, a former Lubéron quarry nestled in the heart of the village of Lacoste, that the show takes shape. Created 21 years ago by Pierre Cardin, the festival is today the orphan of its father. But the memory of the creator is perpetuated by his nephew Rodrigo Basilicati-Cardin. “For me it is very very important as a date, because it is the last thing I spoke with my uncle two months before he left. His last sentence for me was: very nice Rodrigo project”, he recalls.

For this project, Rodrigo called on the star of the ballet, Roberto Bolle. A unique project and a challenge for Italian. “It’s really difficult for the rotations when you jump, you turn. So sometimes it happens to lose your position”, explains the dancer. The show offers a dive into the secrets of the galaxy. Science popularized and sublimated. The artists become one with the holograms for the greatest pleasure of a conquered audience.
