“In early October, we expect warming, when the golden autumn will come with many sunny hours and temperatures above 20 degrees,” promised the climatologist.
When asked when we will see snow in the cities, Matev replied that the impatient ones should climb in the area of Musala peak and touch it.
“Fortunately, the snow in the cities is still far away. We cannot say when the first one will fall. Climatically, this is happening at the end of November, but whether this will happen again this year remains to be seen, “said the climatologist.
“We are expecting the La Niña climate phenomenon again. It has been in control of the climate for a long time. It is expected to intensify,” he said.
“Last winter was marked by a strong “La Niña”, so we can expect that this winter will be warm and dry. The expectations of most climatologists, who deal with the correlation of “La Niña” with Europe, say that we will have a warm and dry winter. That doesn’t mean we won’t have days with snowfall and lower temperatures, “he said.
“Cold winters in our country always happen when you expect them to be warm, so you never know. Long-term forecasts are always slippery,” Matev said.
According to him, we will have heating at the end of October and the beginning of November.
