From the information gathered, the perpetrators of the shooting were members of the KKB led by Lamek Taplo.

Not only police officers, TNI officers were also involved in the case of buying and selling illegal firearms to KKB in Papua.

Previously, one of the members of the Indonesian Army who was arrested and convicted was Pratu Demisla Arista Tefbana (28).

In a trial conducted by the Jayapura Mahmil III-19 Military Court on Thursday (12/3/2020), Pratu Demisla was sentenced to life imprisonment and dismissed from military service in the TNI AD.

Judge Major Chk Dendy said that during the trial Pratu Demisla was found guilty and admitted to having supplied the KKB with firearms and ammunition through Moses Gwijangge.

To Moses, Demisla sold one shotgun and 1,300 pieces of ammunition.

The ammunition price was sold for Rp. 100,000 per item, while the senpi was sold for Rp. 50 million.

Demisla got the weapon from her partner on the pretext of hunting. Meanwhile, the money obtained was used for personal needs.

Previously, on Tuesday (11/2/2020), Mahmil III-19 Jayapura also gave guilty verdicts to three unscrupulous members of the Indonesian Army.

They include Second Sergeant Wahyu Insyafiadi, First Soldier Okto Maure, and First Private Elias K Waromi.

In this openly held military trial they were proven to have sold 13,431 rounds of ammunition to KKB.

As a result of the actions committed, each was given a different sentence according to his role.

Second Sergeant Wahyu Insyafiadi was sentenced to life in prison, First Soldier Okto Maure was sentenced to 15 years in prison, and First Private Elias K Waromi was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison with less time in prison.
