Gold prices fell today Thursday in Egypt as trading halved, and the gram is down £50 from its start-of-trade prices as the metal fell globally.
And the price of an ounce of gold jumped £50 at the start of the day’s trading, before coming back and losing it.
And the US Federal Reserve announced on Wednesday that it raised interest rates for the seventh time this year, and the rate of increase was 0.5%, in line with expectations, so that the interest rates would be between 4.25% and 4.5%. .
Yesterday’s decision means reducing the pace of interest rate hikes initiated by the Federal Reserve (the central bank of the United States) since last March.
Gold prices today
The price of 14-karat gold has dropped to £1,100 per gram.
The price of 18-karat gold fell to £1414 per gram.
And the price of 21-karat gold has dropped to £1,650 per gram.
The price of 24-karat gold fell to £1886 per gram.
