ROMA – Rewards to those who use the credit card instead of cash. In the evening the Presidency of the Council leaks new details on the cashback mechanism that Giuseppe Conte described in an interview with the newspaper The print.
From 1 December there will be a cashback, that is a refund of 10% on what is spent with the card: the refund, in practice, will be of a maximum of 300 euros and will go to those who spend up to 3000 euros.
This is not the only novelty. The befana bonus will now be called super cashback and will be 3000 euros per year. Like ordinary cashback, it will be repaid every six months. The 100,000 citizens who will use the card the most – that is, those who will make the most transactions regardless of the amount spent – will have a refund of 3000 euros per year.
In addition, there will be up to 50 million euros up for grabs with the receipt lottery, only for those who use electronic money. The individual prizes can also reach 5 million euros.
